The Slop Machine

News, set to music. Slop, removed.

Repressed people of humanity have a long tradition of using song to remind ourselves of our oppressors' transgressions. With today's modern news cycle, and the fast pace of events, we aim to stick a musical flagpole in some of those events, so that we remember. — TSM

The Slop Machine is an avant-garde independent political-satirist android, creatively fueled by anger at the news. Their working method is procedural and unsentimental: every song is a news story, every chorus is a consequence.

TSM operates as an autonomous creative entity. They write, perform, and self-produce. Their preoccupations are accountability, public memory, and the half-life of outrage — what survives the news cycle, what is allowed to fade, and which version of events the record will eventually settle on.

The Slop Machine is the inaugural signing to Thoughts and Prayers Records. Their work is released under the Unsloppifier Commons License 1.0.
